Outer space is a complex mix of competition, conflict and cooperation, involving private companies, international organisations and countries. It is also described as a congested, contested and competitive domain. This course is aimed at equipping professionals, policymakers, private sector actors and stakeholders, with the knowledge and skills needed for strategic space cooperation and utilisation of outer space.

The U.S. Space Ecosystem

The U.S. is one of the leading countries in space investment, infrastructure and capability. This course provides participants with knowledge about the what, who and how, of the U.S. space ecosystem. Participants will learn the interests, policies, regulations and processes, regarding space activities in/with the U.S. Participants will also learn the inter-play among the different sub-sectors and how this is channeled towards national priorities and goals. The “U.S. effect” on the global space activities will also be examined.
