Effective Leadership of Space Institutions
This course is designed for management cadre, board members and team leads of space institutions. Lectures focus on management, leadership, governance, ethics, risk management and regulatory compliance. It will also include building of structures and systems, as well as how an organisation pursues its mandates and national goals while keeping to its international obligations.
Maximising International Space Cooperation
Learn the principles, tools, means and ways of space cooperation and diplomacy, to advance organisational, national and global goals and interests.

Highlights
World Space Week (WSW) 2024: High-Level Panel on Space and Climate Change
ASLI in collaboration with the Nigerian Embassy in Addis Ababa, and the Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute (SSGI) organised a high-level panel discussion to commemorate the designated World Space Week (WSW) 2024. The theme of the event was “Space and Climate Change.”
Briefing of the Diplomatic and Scientific Communities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
ASLI in collaboration with the Nigerian Embassy in Addis Ababa, and the Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute (SSGI) organised a Space Briefing, with a focus on the four thematic priority areas of the African Outer Space Programme (Earth Observation, Satellite Communication, Navigation & Positioning, and Astronomy) as well as two cross-cutting areas (Education & Capacity Development, and African Space Economy).
Briefing of U.S. Space Delegation
ASLI had an interactive discussion with a U.S. delegation consisting of representatives from NASA and U.S. Departments of State, Commerce and Defence. The discussion focused on civil and commercial space cooperation between Africa and the U.S.
